Flights

Today I booked our flights home from the cruise. We will fly out of Miami since it is cheaper and I could get some good deals! One flight was paid in cash but only ONE was available so I booked the other with airline points. I had to buy some points to have enough but it was still a bargain! We are even on the SAME flight sitting next to each other! Both flights for $412. Hard to believe how much prices have gone up so this really was a good deal!

October 12, 2014 Schedule on American Airlines:

Depart MIA 2:00p-LAX 4:42         Depart LAX 8pm-FAT 8:55p

No Key West For Us

We decided not to add Key West to this trip. John is still struggling with his stasis foot ulcer and we will just save that adventure for another time. We often talked about taking a trip with our trailer through the Keys and will probably plan that at a “non-hurricane-season” time in the future. So now I will be looking for the airfare home from Fort Lauderdale (or Miami) on or around Oct. 12th after the cruise.

New Cruise Terminal in San Francisco

Just 9-10 days before we board this cruise San Francisco is opening the new cruise terminal! The old terminal, Pier 35, will be used as a backup terminal. It wasn’t so bad really… but this one looks pretty fabulous! Here is an artist rendering of the new cruise terminal.
