We aren’t really sure what time we left Puntarenas but at some point in the night we had sailed away. I’m sure they allow a margin for error in arriving for the transit of the canal since it is a big deal. This morning is gray with clouds but a very slight sea with lots of birds flying around our ship. We ate a late breakfast at the Horizon court. The food is tasty with a variety everyday and then some things are the same everyday like the fruit, cheese, pastries, omelet station, etc. Early on I tried to post my blog for the last two days to no avail. I was able to post it around noon our time and it did post quickly for a change. In the afternoon we had wine tasting with Stuart and Darlene and Eric and Kathe. George and Tawny didn’t make it. Afterwards Stuart treated all of us to a drink in one of the bars since he said he won big in the casino last night. After our nice visit and drink Stuart and I headed to the casino for a little black jack. I told him when I lost my allotted amount I would need to leave. It was really fun and at one point I was about $50-60 up but I am happy to say I left when I was still even. Joining John back at the cabin he had taken a nap and was reading. We freshened up and headed to dinner. The dinner was again delicious, the food has been very good and the wait staff pleasant and well trained. After dinner John, Stuart and I went back to the casino and played for awhile. I was ahead again and gave the chips to John to play as well and eventually we managed to lose so it was off to bed for us. We are supposed to queue for the Panama Canal at 5a!
