Day 7-Island Princess

So sad to hear today that our dear friend Jim McNutt passed away. What a wonderful man, a light to this world. If not for him and his lovely wife Julie McNutt we may not have completed the adoption of Steven in Sao Paulo, Brazil. They knew nothing of us but welcomed us in their home with open arms and helped us greatly after waiting 4 days to finally have Steven in our arms. Our thoughts, love, and prayers go out to Julie McNutt and their family. Heaven is even a better place today. Aside from that…

We had a nice day at sea. We piddled around in our cabin until we were almost late for the Panama Canal lecture today.  Suddenly we realized the time and John headed out to get some breakfast and I jumped in the shower. We had a predetermined place to meet in the theater for the presentation and I even made it on time! These hair dryers are the slowest to dry EVER but I still made it! It was a nice lecture. From there we strolled around and ended up going to the dining room for lunch. John had wonderful fish and chips and my spinach pie was really good too.  It was humid again today but as the sun was going down the balcony was comfortable and we enjoyed the sea breezes. We talked to the internet guy today and he gave me some of my minutes back. He claims it is my netbook that is the problem as well as the number of people on the internet at any given time. I still have not resolved the problem of the photos but I can repost the blog with photos after I am home. We had another nice dinner with our friends as we cruise down the coast of Nicaragua. Tomorrow is an early morning for us, no more of this sleeping in late! We have to be up and to our excursion departure point on the ship by 7:15a. We are excited to visit a new country. I believe the speaker said there are only 3 paved highways in the entire country. It should be interesting. I may not post at all tomorrow, not sure how busy it will be.
